IGCSE Computer Science 0478
Full syllabus, from data representation and hardware through to algorithm design and programming.
O- and A-Level Computer Science and Applied Information Technology at Sunshine Grammar School and College, Chattogram — British and Australian curriculums, and students who mostly arrive having never written a line of code.
220+ students to A* · Top Performing Tutor 2024 · teaching since 2019
I joined Sunshine Grammar School & College on 1 June 2023, just a few days after my graduation ceremony, as a Lecturer in Computer Science — not knowing how deeply this place would shape my life. From my first day in the classroom, teaching O- and A-Level Computer Science and Applied IT, I felt a sense of purpose.
Working with students on programming, algorithms, cybersecurity, and problem-solving made me grow as a teacher and as a person. Over time, guiding more than 220 students toward A* results and helping them overcome their fears in coding and logic became some of my most rewarding experiences.
Beyond teaching, I worked on strengthening the school's IT systems, supporting exams, and helping the institution run smoothly during busy periods. Receiving the Top Performing Tutor 2024 award was a proud moment — not because of the title, but because it showed the trust and respect of my students and colleagues.
Sunshine became more than a workplace. It became a place where I discovered my strengths, gained confidence, and learned the real value of teaching. It changed me into someone who not only teaches technology but uses it to inspire, support, and make a difference in the lives of young learners.
Two examination systems in parallel — the Cambridge suite and the Western Australian ATAR curriculum — plus lower-school ICT.

“He's one of those teachers who genuinely feels like both a teacher and an elder brother. He explains everything so clearly and makes even the hardest topics easy to understand. He gives helpful exam tips, focuses on the key points, and always makes sure we understand the concepts fully instead of just memorizing.”
“As a student, I look up to him as a role model, not only in academics but also in life. Since day one, he has been helping each of us realize our full potential. No matter the situation or problem, he has always been there to support us.”
“He has a unique talent for making complex topics in Computer Science and AIT seem simple and interesting. He didn't just teach us how to code; he taught us how to think and solve problems.”
“Raihan Sir makes learning easy and enjoyable. His classes are engaging, and he's always willing to help — even late at night if needed. He genuinely cares about his students, and it shows in everything he does.”
“He gives his best effort to ensure we understand and learn, even if it means making a tutorial video late at night. He makes learning fun, inspires us to grow, and puts in the effort to ensure we understand and complete our tasks.”
“He connects lessons with real-life examples, making them both fun and practical. He encourages us to think independently instead of just memorizing. Thanks to his teaching, I feel more confident in programming and problem-solving.”
Exercises I write for my students stay public so they can clone them and work through the tasks at home.
