My Journey at Sunshine Grammar School & College

My teaching career at Sunshine Grammar School & College, Chattogram began when I joined as a Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science, through the mentorship of Mr. Jamir Ahmed, Head of the Computer Science Department at Southern University Bangladesh, my alma mater. His encouragement gave me the confidence to combine my passion for teaching with my technical expertise and step into a role that would transform both my students and myself.

From the very beginning, I realized that teaching is not only about transferring knowledge but also about practicing patience, empathy, communication, and building strong relationships. Each class became a journey of adaptability, creativity, and motivation, where I balanced academic rigor with personal guidance.

Teaching Methodology

  • I believe education is most effective when it is practical rather than purely theory-based. My methodology focuses on:

    • Hands-on learning → Students learn by doing, not just memorizing.

    • Real-world projects → Assignments mimic business, startup, or social scenarios, so students see immediate relevance.

    • Tool-driven teaching → Using Google Classroom and PowerPoint to organize lessons, provide feedback, and make abstract concepts visually clear.

    • Project-based mentorship → Guiding students to use Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Python, Flask, Django, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to create portfolios that reflect their skills and aspirations.

This approach ensures students don’t just excel in exams but also gain confidence in applying knowledge to real challenges.

🎉 ICT Olympiad – A Legacy of Collaboration & Motivation (2023, 2024, 2025)

  • One of my proudest initiatives was leading the ICT Olympiad for three consecutive years.

    • Over 400 students participated, experiencing ICT not just as a subject but as a celebration of creativity, teamwork, and confidence.

    • The Olympiad promoted classroom skills beyond textbooks, pushing students to problem-solve, innovate, and think critically.

    • It showed me the true power of organisational skills and adaptability — coordinating logistics, motivating participants, and ensuring every student felt included.

⚙️ Technical & Administrative Contributions

Beyond teaching, I actively contributed to the school’s growth:

  • Set up networking and IT infrastructure for labs and classrooms.

  • Improved logistics and managed events with precision—showing my organizational skills.

  • Promoted the school through outreach, strengthening its reputation.

🏆 Recognition & Awards

My work was recognized with:

  • Best Teacher of the Year (2024) 🥇 – awarded for teaching excellence, innovation, and leadership

❤️ Community Teaching

Every weekend, I dedicate time to teaching underprivileged children in CRB, Chattogram.

  • Practice respect, communication, and empathy by connecting with children from disadvantaged backgrounds.

  • Teach them the basics of ICT and problem-solving, nurturing confidence in students who might otherwise never experience digital education.

  • For me, this is where the qualities of a teacher matter most: listening, patience, motivation, and adaptability.
